Empower Yourself:
CBT And Mindfulness for Healing and Transformation
Life is beautiful. And messy.
It’s the messy parts that are the most challenging. You feel uncomfortable, unsure, and lost. Sometimes you feel broken like there must be something wrong with you. You’re distracted by circling thoughts and it seems as if no one understands.
You might be…
-
burdened by childhood trauma as an adult
-
drained and empty from an unfulfilling or toxic relationship
-
struggling to heal from abuse
-
exhausted from fighting with crippling anxiety
-
feeling like you’re stuck and can’t move forward
Working through situations like these can feel overwhelming and isolating.
But know that you’re not alone.
We understand and WE SEE YOU.
It can feel scary to admit that you need support but we ALL do at one time or another - it’s part of the human experience. It’s NOT a sign of weakness. It’s a sign of your resilience and commitment to living a happy and fulfilling life.
Your mental health is important to your overall well-being. When your thoughts are positive and you can deal with triggers or past trauma in a healthy way, you feel better. And when you feel better, life is easier.
This is a safe space. You can expect guidance, support, and compassion as you take steps to healing, peace, and transformation.
We will walk every step with you. You will be transformed, just like the phoenix that rises from the ashes.

"I am not what happened to me. I am what I choose to become." - Carl Yung
We're Happy to Meet You

Gabrielle Ricca Caldon MSEd, LMHC
I am a NYC mental health counselor licensed to practice in New York State, with over nine years of field experience. During this time, I taught as an Adjunct Professor at the City University of New York (CUNY) and contributed to developing study materials for future therapists before I moved into private practice.
I have always believed that the path to a happier, more fulfilling life is through reflection and developing an awareness of our thoughts and behaviors. Emotional distress and trauma affect both mental and physical well-being, so I address both during counseling sessions to support complete healing.
Everyone’s journey is unique which is why your needs and experiences determine the approach we take. My goal is to empower you through cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) techniques combined with mindfulness exercises.
When working with me, you can expect:
-
Active listening and empathy: You feel seen and understood.
-
An individualized approach: You feel comfortable with the solutions and strategies because they are customized to your situation.
-
Support: You no longer feel lost or alone in your struggles.
-
Confidentiality: Our sessions are a safe space for you to openly discuss whatever is on your mind.
Therapist - (Noun) A compassionate person who is focused on the well-being of others. Natural born problem solver who often thinks outside of the box.

Shantal Bloise, MHC-LP
I am a dedicated mental health counselor with a Master's degree in Forensic Mental Health Counseling from John Jay College of Criminal Justice. Holding a Limited Permit (MHP-LP), I am committed to providing compassionate and effective therapeutic support to individuals in need.
With a diverse background in mental health, I have experience working with various populations, including children with autism, as an ABA therapist, and individuals facing complex challenges. As a Behavioral Health Specialist intern, I developed a strong understanding of how these intersecting issues impact mental well-being.
I specialize in working with young adults and middle-aged individuals navigating depression and anxiety. I use evidence-based approaches, like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and mindfulness techniques, to help you gain insight, develop coping strategies, and improve your overall emotional well-being. With a compassionate and client-centered approach, I work collaboratively with you to create a personalized treatment plan aimed at supporting healing, growth, and resilience.
When working with me, you can expect:
-
Empathy and support: You feel understood and validated.
-
A collaborative approach: You take an active role in choosing the approach we take towards healing.
-
Practical coping strategies: You gain tools to help you confidently manage day-to-day challenges.
-
Confidentiality: Our sessions are a safe and secure space for you to share honestly. As a Limited Permit holder, our sessions may be discussed with a licensed supervisor.
